We remove posts that break the House rules, including private information, threats, harassment and posts about the wrong person. A post that follows them may stay up, because it is another person’s account of their own experience.
We never remove or change a post in exchange for payment.
Questions, answered
Is it actually anonymous?
To other members, yes. Nobody on Clairitea sees your name on what you post, and the person you report never finds out it was you. We do know which account posted, and a court can make us say who, so post what actually happened to you and skip details only you two would know. He can read it too.
Are posts fact-checked?
No. Each post is one person’s take on her own experience. It can be wrong, or about a different guy with the same name, so read it that way.
What can’t I post?
Addresses, numbers, emails, socials, links, where he’ll be and when, anything about someone under 18, threats and anything sexual. The House rules have the full list.
What’s free?
3 lookups a week, posting and asking anonymously, and watching names. Red flags for feeling unsafe or aggression are readable by everyone signed in.
Can I read a full page without Plus?
One way: post your first experience about him. Once it’s been live for 24 hours with no open report, his page opens for 7 days.
How much is Plus?
$4.99 a week or $15.99 a month. No free trial, and it renews until you cancel. Cancel any time on the Plus page.
There’s a page about me. What now?
You don’t need an account. Use the “A post about you?” form on this page. We email you a link to confirm, then review the post against the House rules.
Why not just ask the group chat?
Do that too. A group chat only helps when someone there happens to know him. Here, people who met him can leave what happened, and you can search it before your date.
Is this a background check?
No. Never use Clairitea to decide on anyone’s job, housing, credit or insurance, or to find, contact or confront anyone.
